HELP!! can only boot in SAFE MODE!

ok, so first off im an idiot, i decided that i wanted to have a new cool boot screen rather than the crappy windows one. so i went and dowloaded Style XP, and a new boot scrren and applied it. and then the next t9ime i started up the computer at the OS selection menu (i think thats what it is lol) i had a third option(i usually have two, window xp home edition, and microsoft windows.) the third said microsoft windows xp (boot screen). so i chose that but then a blue boot screen came up and it said OS/2 Warp, then the comp restarted :S. so i had to boot in safe mode, and here i am. i have tried to include as much information as possible at the moment, if you need any more let me know.

have you tried a reboot and picked another option?

yes i picked windows xp home edition, the option i would usually use.

You "foobarred" the boot.ini file? The boot screen as you called it would be the F8 start menu where you can also choose the "safe mode/command prompt only" option to manually start the system restore process. Now write this down somewhere. You simply type in the command "%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe" at the command prompt there and press enter. That will get the process going there.
