Help! cant install WIndows 7 into my Gateway NV53!

i dont know if the drive went bad or what ihave to openit to see if the drive is dislocated somebit or some other reason why its not letting it format the drive v3ery fast and never finishign the install. I cvan setup xp onto it but then when i try to do a custom install it just epic fails.. anyone have any insight?

im trying now to install windows 7 onto another partition now my cds wont even boot! my xp cd does tho! why did they boot before and not work now?
