What about the MP4 player or flash memories? Will I have trouble with them?

Okay, now there are two months since this thread ended, but I want to bring it back to life, since I have installed today Ubuntu, and I have a problem: when I launch 3d games (like chess in 3d or FlighGear) the screen flickers usually when I input with the keyboard/mouse, but not only. I did install and activate the Ati driver, so that's not the problem. Why is it? How can I fix it?

for your live messenger you could use AMSN

Thanks, but I'm fine with Pidgin right now. Read the post above ^^ that's where the problem is.
