Help Choosing Motherboard

I'm working on a new project and I have the CPU picked out, now I need to find a good mobo.

It needs to be Socket 939, have SLi capabilities, and be able to have at least 4GB of RAM. In addition though, I want it to be able to use AMD's dual core processors (X2) for when I decide to upgrade, as well as 64 and FX. The best choice to me so far looks like the ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe, supposedly it's very stable and has a good BIOS. It also should be able to handle lots of the new upgrades that come out over the new few years.

One of the main questions is: Why does it say on some sites that it is compatible with X2 dual cores, but others say it isn't? (I'm pretty sure it is)
And the second question is, do I have any other good choices?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I would go with the premium model, its a bit more, but some of the heat problems have been fixed.
Yes that board should suport dual core, if not out of the box, then with a simple BIOS update. Also you may want to consider the DFI's lanparty series.
