Help Cmos errors

amd 3800+ dual core
Asus a8n32-SLI deluxe
2gig corsair xms3200 400mhz
7800 GeForce 256mb BFG

Boots up all i get is Bad cmos checksum then i go into bios edit it save and exit then i get same error when i open bios back up everything i did is lost and its back to default whats the problem any help?
 
Took off battery swapped cmos jumper to 2-3 pin left for 20 seconds swaped back to 1-2 put battery in. Dont think it is the battery its brand new mobo
 
exit and discard changes gives me a black screen is there any other way to do it? also the post ends after checking usbs then gives me the bad cmos checksum
 
My HD first time using sata cables. It plugs into sata 1socket and other plug is for Power supply.. Nothing else should be plugged into it?
 
Hmm my friend told me to remove the battery and turn it on then turn it off and put batter back in. i got passed the bad bios but now all i get is a flashing _

Removing CMOS battery while the box is live? Bad idea.


I would try flashing to the latest BIOS here
 
Sorry misread, in either case, do have a look at flashing to the latest BIOS and maybe even an RMA :)
 
Well you can do via three or so ways
1. Floppy
2. CD
3. Windows
Now #1 and #3 are out. If you cant do #2 then you need to RMA
