Help Cmos errors

My post test stops after 00 USB mass storage device found and configured
Cmos checksum bad press f1 to run setup press f2 to load default values and continue.. if i load default it goes to a black screen thats it
 
Hehe. For future reference: because a system boots to XP doesnt mean it's stable (of course, after installing and stuff, running Prime95/S&M/Memtest for say 12hrs should iron out any instabilities: but at least you found out early)
 
Bios help

It appears new bios came out for my A8N-32 sli deluxe last night how do i go about updating them. I got everything running now smoothely just when i turn it on it tells me bad cmos checksum. I run default settings and it loads up from there.
 
Usually after updating the BIOS, the 1st reboot after will be potentially glitchy, so go into bios and configure everything the way you want it and you should be good to go after saving those settings ... now if not ... then thats a different problem

As for how to update, there should be a link near where you downloaded it as well as in your manual :) For simplicity sake, if possible, use the Windows update method :)
 
ok thanks praetor will do..one more thing my mobo has on board audio but doesnt work and im downloading the audio drives it should work after?
 
Naturally you would have to install all the drivers before you can really use the machine properly
