So I come home and find my computer sitting there restarting its self over and over. The background had green squiggly lines and sometimes green dots. I am still able to access the bios but anyway At first I thought it was files that had become corrupt so I reinstall windows and video driver, Mother board driver, and sound driver

everything is working perfectly until i turn it off for the night and when I turn it on same thing happens wont start and has the weird squiggly lines and some times green dots. So now I it has to be hardware? any one able to tell what is failing for me

I would like to mention the green lines show up when the computer is trying to start up and the blue screen for vista appears etc there are no squigly lines or green dots on the screen to access the bios etc

hows your video card? Sounds like corrupted video memory. Test your video card in another computer if you can, or swap out your video card for another if you can. Depending on what you have, you can probably replace the card for cheap.

When I was able to get every thing working again for a brief moment I checked the video card everything is working fine
there are two of them when I turned on SLI the computer was still working

When you say "everything is working fine" how did you test that? This sounds like bad hardware at the very least. The first thing I would do is test video cards. Since you have two, take one out, try them individualy. Process of elimination is needed from there which gets tricky if you don't have multiple computers. If your useing multiple sticks of ram boot with one and then the other. Try to find which piece of hardware is failing.

Because if it were the video card wouldn't it of stayed even after reinstalling windows?

I assumed it was working fine because when I installed the drivers Nvidia control panel picked up both video cards and turned on the SLI and I knew they were working because when you install the drivers resolution and many things change also videos worked etc

failing hardware still works most of the time. It just doesn't work all the time. Unless an item is completly DOA it usually will work sometimes, especially RAM. Installing drivers and what not could still work fine with a bad video card.

Your problem looks like a hardware issue. Your best bet is to try to narrow down what it could be by testing individual components as I stated above. Remove one of an item, if problem persists that item is probably fine.

Test all your video card stuff such as video card and video memory. Put it in another computer make sure that it works
