Ok here's how it is. I get nothign but problems with my computers with what i have, but i want it fixed, i currently have a
core i7 @ 2.67
4GB DDR3 1333mhz
GTX 280 Nvidia
EX58-UD5 Motherboard
1x 500GB HDD SATAII running vista
1x 500GB SATAII HDD for spare space
1x 200GB IDE for spare space

now to the problem, with all that gear u would think that it would cruise, but no it is slow as a snail, and cannot multitask for crap it takes 3 seconds just to change a song, i want to narrow down the problem i think it is one of the HDDs or both the 500GB ones, also on start up it keeps checking one of the drives for consistency then say the master file is missing or something and goes to look for it and fails.

You definately have a hard drive problem. First, I would download the drive makers disk diagnostic utilty to scan each drive. If nothing comes up, I would do a repair install of the OS to see if that helps at all.

maybe u should try and figure out exactly which hard drive is causing the problem, try installing or os on another one of the hard drives. try running only the hard drive with vista installed to see if that narrows the search

If this leads you know where, re-install the OS of choice and don't do a quick format. Wait out the time, you'd be surprised the issues this can have.
