HELP Computer will not boot

I readjusted the placement of my DVD drive and hooked everything back up to it. Then I installed a little PCI wireless networking card and a floppy drive. I press the power button, and the case fan turns maybe twice, nothing else happens. I unhooked the DVD drive and floppy IDE cable and it booted. I fooled around with the DVD drive a bit more and it finally booted to the loading windows screen, only to hang up in the middle.

Now when I hit the power button, the fans come on, you can hear the HD searching, but nothing else happens. No beep saying POST was completed and the monitor does not come out of standby. I have unhooked everything but the HD and video card and that still happens. Anyone have any idea? Hardware is in the sig.

Whoops. I was thinking I was at another forum. I wound up sending it back. I read for a few hours on Asus's website and some others had the same trouble and had to just send it back. It was an Asus A8N SLI Premium. My PSU is a Thermaltake 480W

oh, i was going to ask about the dvd interface(Pata or Sata) and wether you got any lights on the new floppy. But if you sent it back then i guess we don't need to worry about it.
