I am having trouble getting an ATI video card working with the media center program MediaPortal. I have tried to find a solution to my problem in the Mediaportal forums but have gotten no help. Maybe someone here can help me out . . .
In Short:
I recently "upgraded" the [and by 'upgraded' I mean that I recieved a hand me down] video card I have in my computer (from: GeForce FX 5200 To: Radeon 9500 Pro/ 9700) but now I can't seem to get MediaPortal to display on my 2nd (TV) display. I have the second display set up as an extended desktop (not clone view) which worked fine with my Geforce but I get nuthin with the Radeon. I am assuming that the Radeon 9500 should work with Mediaportal but for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Some details:
In trying to research this issue I seem to be hearing something about trouble with ATI capture driver (or something like this) but since I barely know what the capture driver is, which I have, or how to download the "correct" one, I don't know where to go.
Thanks in advance for any helpful input/guidance....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...anything.
thanks
Elliott
