I bought the above wire to try and hookup either a laptop or desktop to my Television via S Video.
However, when I hooked each of the computer up with the wire, the picture was scrambled and did not work.
My computer does not have any other outputs to the television. So, as an alternative, I bought a USB to Firewire 1394 (DV link) cable. When I receive it in the mail, I intend to hook the USB into the laptop and then the DV link into the television.
Will that work? In essence, can the laptop USB port work as an output to the television?
If not, what is a wire that will convert the VGA port into S Video or composite video and work?

Laptop is: Windows 7 64 bit
