Help, deciding on Intel or AMD for gaming

hi, im noobs here..i need you guy's opinion on the processor that i want to buy.. Is the intel E6300 enough for medium gaming?(let say that i have the above average graphic card and 4GB memory) or AMD? (which AMD then is suitable for gaming?) thanks a lot guys...
 
yeah i think the E6300 would do fine right now, but if ya want something to last get like a E6600.
 
but yeah the intel would be better. With the new technology they have, they are a bit better than AMD. yes, the 6300 would be fine, but bump it up to the 6320. It's 2 bucks more on Newegg and has a 4mb L2 cache, instead of 2mb. Quite a big difference for a mere 2 bucks :)
 
cheapest and fastest is the best, its only for gaming, graphics card plays more of the important role I suppose
 
The E6300 could even support some heavy gaming, and can be overclocked very high.

As long as it's paired with a good graphics card, games will run great. But why do you need 4GB of RAM?

thx guys..nah, i just use 2GB =)

ATI or NVIDIA for the Graphic card?
any suggestion are welcome..my budged for graphic card is around $200-$300

I second that, nvidia is kicking ati ass atm, anyway if they released a new one it would cost like 999$ or so apart from being HUGE
