I need your opinions on which laptop I should get. So far I am looking at these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80209&item=6750188045&rd=1
http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/inspn_1000?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=318762&pfp=SEARCH (can get the Averatec for only $700 locally)
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=34-115-185&depa=3

I really don't know what I should do. I 1st eMachines I listed probably has the nicest specs and has a 64-bit processor... I want to be able to play some games, watch DVDs, surf the web, etc. I want something that is cheap and whil last me a long time.

BTW, when is all the 64-bit stuff going to happen?

Google "windows longhorn" and "windows xp x64" and see what you can find. I'm betting on early 2006 for something good but much longer for driver/software support. Some programs don't work with the RC 2 of longhorn so by 2007 hopefully there will be enough support for longhorn to become a good option...

The first one sounds ok.
The second one is not so good with integrated graphics.
I wouldn't bet on the third because I don't actually know what the "sis" graphic chipset really is (I'm guessing integrated).
The fourth is really just a downgraded version of the first.

I would go (in decreasing order) First, Fourth, Third, Second.
I'm not much of an expert on laptops but thats what I would do.

Thanks for the reply. I actually already bought a Dell Inspiron 6000 and it came today. So far, I love it. Despite the integrated graphics, it's fine for gaming (well, Rome Total War, the only game I've played on it) and it's fine for anythig I would do on a computer.
