i have a dell 2400 and i put in a new hdd 100 gb , well i intsalled windows xp in 2 time last night and the screen display was BIG images and more. i dont know why , i put a ATI Graphics card in and still did it . I have no clue how it gets big. i try to go to the display settings and turn down the size of the creen but that didnt help. plus it wouldnt install any my internet stuff.

Right click on the desktop > properties > settings, then make sure that your resolution isn't extremely low...it should be at least 1024x768, optimally 1280x1024. Also, click "advanced" and make sure the DPI is 96.
 
go to dell4me.com and go to the support tab. type in your dell service number or just select what model you have (dimension 2400?) and it'll list every driver to download, along with links. to fix this specific problem, download the video card driver
