iit started out with me taking my computer parts out of my old case and putting them into the new case i got. i put everything in the way its supopst to and everything turns on okais, but nothing shows up on the scree, so what happened, i made sure i grounded my self to the case before taking out and puting the parts in the case . i tried 2 different screens, and i tried plugging in the onboard video, and noting works so i concluded , could it be the MOBO or my Processor, my HDD is ok i can hear it working , soo do u think i could of still staticked shocked the computer some how ???? and how can i find out whats wrong with it ? ????? please help

thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oo yea i do , i tried the onboard too, i wish i just had some cheap video card thats PCIe just to try it out, but i dont think its the viideo card , i narrowd it to MOBO or CPU :(

check all connections again, 20+4 power cord for mobo, that kind of thing, then do what oscaryu1 said

make sure there is nothing shorting on the new case, make sure the mobo is properly seated into the case and all screws are tightened accordingly.

If the computer turns on I don't think it is the mobo or CPU or something like that (I might be wrong) I think perhaps your monitor isn't plugged securely into the video card? Maybe the GPU its self is not secured? Are you sure you connected a power line to your GPU? Thats waht I didn't do when I got my new graphics card when I upgraded for hte first time, I RMA'd a perfectly good video card for my stupidity.

^lol humanmage that sucks.

I don't think it would be the mobo or processor, if everything starts up then it's probably running okay.

You can have an motherboard with no processor and it would do the same thing...

Make sure you have the 20+4 connector pluged in,
the yellow and black 4 pin connector
the 6 pin video card connector.

Have you tried taking all of the components out of the case and running the system outside of the case completely? Like on a desk or something. If it boots up fine when setup on a desk not in an actual case then you can be pretty sure it's the case shorting it. But indeed, make sure all of the power connectors are connected. I forgot to place the CPU power connector to the motherboard once and got nothing but a black screen because of it.

But yes, check the connectors, take them all out and put them all back in if need be. If that fails, try running the components out of the case. Might be worth a check to make sure the CPU is seated properly too. When you tried the onboard graphics, did you disable the AGP / PCI-E graphics option in your BIOS and enable onboard?

is the monitor plugged into the wall or the back of the monitor itself....just a thought...sorry if it sounds insulting or something...but it's possible
