CPU Fan turns on, Videocard fan turns on, power supply turns on, HDD turns on feels warm to touch, CD/DVD drives work, but noting shows up on screen, i got all the power switch connectors in the right place

Is this the computer in your sig? The computer in your sig has a graphics card so you might want to reset your bios in case it thinks that you're suppose to have a graphics card.

Also, does it sound like your computer posts; does it make a distinct 'beep'?

uhmmm no i dont hear any beeps. but ya thats my comp. the videocard is already asigned to my mian gpu. so im not using the onboard, i wish i could see the bios, but noting shows up on the screen, its like dark black blank screen, the only sound i hear is the fans and my HDD

If you plugged in everything correctly, you should be hearing a beep. Try taking out the video card and see if it'll work.

Afterwards, clear your cmos and see if it woks then.

Edit: BTW, plugging the monitor into the onboard while you have a graphics card installed does absolutely nothing because the video will always be sent to a video card first.

I should know, I tried it before........

It's not necessarily what shows up on the screen that you should be caring about but that your system is posting, otherwise, making the 'beep' that I was talking about. Even without the beep, you can tell if your system is psoting.

BTW, posting is when the computer normally shows the bios and stuff during start up.

If you have any other PCI cards installed, try removing those too. Also, try reseting the bios using the jumper settings or removing the battery for 15 mins.

Ya, a computer not posting is usefully a bad sign that a component is preventing it from properly starting, usually because it's broken. I'm assuming you took out your sound card which eliminates the possibility of an IRQL conflict.

As a side note, when a computer fails to post, the hard drive will still run but it won't make an audible difference in sound as it does when the computer boots up normally. There is a possibility that your computer is posting, it's just, for some reason, it's not beeping like it should and the blank screen is due to a video problem.

We can eliminate the hard drive as being the problem since a computer can boot up without one.

This leaves the motherboard, the RAM, and the processor.

Try individually taking out each of the RAM to see if that maybe your problem.

okais ill try the RAM, ya just keep coming up with opinions and ill try it , but thanks for all ur knowledge and help :)
