Help dont know anything

Hi guys! I am just starting to get a computer [from www.ibuypower.com] and I was wondering I chose everything that it offers (well to what I can afford) and I was wondering if you computer geniuses out there help me if everything I chose is good? Also wondering if you could tell me that all the components that I chose will go together...because my brother who is smarter than me said to do research and I have but I guess asking of forums is good also.

Maybe go for the 3800 instead of the 4000. It's alot cheaper and you won't notice the performance difference
 
first off, dont go with that company, go with cyberpowerpc.........I say ask a lot of questions about building a computer here, find a good pc magazine that gives you a step by step guide on how to build a computer, and do it yourself...............but if you dont want to do it yourself, go with cyberpowerpc.com................they dont rip you off like dell or alienware.

Personally I believe Dell offers a great product, at a good price. As with everything, if it is not treated with respect it will break.

Dell, Sony, Compaq...........all crap, you will run into problems later on down the road if you ever decide to upgrade...............they are good systems if you want to buy a brand new one and trash the old one every other year.

I figure buy a pc, run it for about 1.5-2 yrs... get a new one. No upgrading, save money and headaches. The stuff is going obsolete quickly these days, why waste money trying to upgrade something that is not worth it?

Dell and Alienware aren't crap. They are businesses aimed at serving those who don't know how to build and maintain their own PC. You might think they're overpriced, but conisder this, you're also paying them to build the computer. Every step along the assembly line costs money.

I personally reccomend going to newegg and buying a system by a company like ABS. Then upgrade as you like. They don't use any proprietary parts and the base systems are decent.
