help...doom on xp

hey guys, i'm having some trouble. i recently bought the original doom and wolfenstein 3d. both of them install but everytime i try to run them they open up the prompt then immediately exit to the desktop...(i bought them both in a pack at the dollar store so it's not major but i'd like to get some help)

they may only run on windows 95. I had a red alert game and it did the same thing.

try opening it frm the dos

An emulator like DOSbox would be fantastic. Or you could try compatibility mode accessible with right click.

Thanks for the help, I'm working with dosbox right now...just trying to figure out how to mount my cd drive (g) onto it.

*EDIT* Can someone tell me how to mount doom.exe? (I'd be C:\DOOMSUPE\DOOM.EXE)
