Help fast cannot use system restore

when i try to start system restore it starts in a blank white screen and i cannot use it. When i try to use it in safe mode the same thing hapopens

Well system restore is a neato idea from MS but it's not a golden key ... it *is* possible to mess up a computer enough that System Restore cant do anything aout it. Sounds like you might need to reinstall

Yup, I've never successfully used System Restore in my life without having to reinstall right afterwards. A good clean install will do you good anyways.
