Help get rid of ADware

Hi, Having problems with a really annoying adware that pops up in the search bar on the left of internet explorer saying "related searches" with links to various links. I thought this problem had been caused by wintaskad.exe however I removed this in safe mode (can you tell me why it has to be safe mode) but the problem persists. Can someone check my hijack log and advise, I've run virus scan with updated Mcafee, pest patrol & CW Shredder but not picking it up.
