Okay let me tell you guys my situation, basically i got a few parts to upgrade also cause my mobo was crapping out. i got a new mobo, 8800gt pci-e, 2gb DDR2 ram, and a new cd/dvd player. i then find out that my mobo only had one IDE port but i need two. (one for my dvd player and one for my 80gb HD) i hVE 2 Harddrives, one 80 gig and another 160giig the 160 gig is SATA the 80 gig is about 85% full, with everything all my files, games, videos, music, operating system everything. a while ago i had both vista and XP running on my comp on that 80 gig. Vista was wack so i delted it but it would still ask me if i wanted earlier version of windows (XP) or vista upon start up. and i always gotta choose earlier version of windows. but for some reason it wasnt letting me choose when i booted up my comp with the new parts. i was guessing it wanted to do a repair but i cant run the hardrive and my dvd player to run windows disk at the same time since i only have one IDE port. So i decided to install windows on the 160gb. it starts up fine and all but i cant install drivers cause its not activated so i was wondering if there is a way i can have all the stuff on my 80 gig transfered to my 160 gig? and doing this all on a non activated windows/? the only transfers programs i see, you have to be on the hardrive that has all the info then u transfer it to an empty one. i want the oppossite.
drive. I want it so that its basically exactly like as if i was runnig my 80 gig just with another 70-80 gigs. same os, same backround, same icons, same EXACT thing.
