Help! I dont know what is happening!!

This problem is incredibly annoying... and worrying...

My computer keeps randomly turning off all the time... no message... no nothing... as if someone had just swithched it off by the wall.
The weird thing is that when it does do this, the mouse port is still powered!
I can tell this because i have a wireless mouse and it displays a light when on.

Its not cooling/temperature issues (felt it afterwards,, NOT HOT!)

It seems to not do it when it is lying down on its side and opened up

I have to unplug the computer COMPLETELY! for about 5/10 minutes before it lets me turn it back on

I need some advice please

Extra Value 550W Gold ATX power supply seems it could be the culprit, id recommend you upgrade to a decent manufacturer PSU. Such as Antec, Coolermaster etc.

one more question... can u find me the cheapest Nvidia geforce 8800 Ultra u can on any site, but if other than uk site, make sure it ships to uk

yap, find a better PSU, i got that problem too when i have played for 6-7 hours :)
