HELP! I have an odd situation

This is particularly odd to me. I have a desktop HP dc7600 sff. This desktop is completely proprietary. So Where I work all the dc7600 sff desktops are identical. Well this pc Im working on gets stuck at the long on screen. Like it freezes but its not frozen, theres just no mouse or keyboard activity. I can use the mouse and keyboard in bartpe and the bios. I just reimaged and it does the same thing. I swapped the hdd out into another 7600 and does the same thing. It also passed self test dps in the bios, but I can try to run a more extensive hdd test. Anyone had any similar situations?

Did you swap out the Hard drive and the IDE cable or just the Hard drive?
