ASUS A8N-E - 939 (nForce4 Ultra) - ATX or Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 - 939 (nForce4x) - ATX or Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra-9 - 939 (nForce4 Ultra) - ATX

i dont want a mobo with 2 PCI Express x16 because i and getting a x800xl and have no use in SLI.

i want the mobo that will run the best with my his x800xl at the best price

My reason:

1. Personal experince
2. Reliable
3. Cheaper and very expandable
4. Rich features (Firewire, FirewireB, SATA, SATA2, PATA 2x, 2 x BIOS, etc etc.
5. THAT ASUS has a notorious problem with the chipset fan.
6. VERY overclockable (Gigabyte) - 290 is the BIOS limit and that's where I have it (very stable)
7. Hefty BIOS settings (timings etc.)

i want a good AMD 64 but i dont know which ?
i am thinking about the :AMD ATHLON 64BIT 3200+ 512K 939PIN BOX
but i dont know what core to get i need something good for gamming...(i would like a link to newegg with the one u think i should take)

The cores dont make an earthshattering difference with respect to net gaming performance. Venice/SanDiego are the newest (E3 and E4 respectively)

and some 512mb RAM for now when i have the money i will get more
i want : DDR II 512MB 533 MAJOR
in Israel it costs $51 (is that a good price ?)

As noted when you asked about this earlier, DDR2 memory isnt gonna work on an AMD system

The best solution for AMD processors is the Nforce 4 Ultra/SLI chipset based stuff. You can rund Nvidia cards in SLI

Hehe that doesnt fit the requirement for crossfire ... of course i dont think Crossfire mobos are out readily available yet

about the ram i forgot that AMD wont work with DDRII what i want is : Major DDR 512MB 400MHZ MAJOR for $55 . is that a good price?

Its not an especially bad price but its certainly not good by any means.

does nForce4 work better with GeForce or is it the same with ATI (x800xl)

It works better on nVidia cards but its not an earthshattering difference

The newest driver 77.72 would not even require you to have a bridge . You would flash the BIOS with the SLI one and you would have a full SLI board.

Its not an issue of need. You couldnt get SLI on that even if you wanted it

As long as it's the -E variant than its acceptable. The MSI and DFI boards are still better.

Other than #5 thats nothign GB specific. Also, the stock fan on NF4 boards is crummt regardless.
