Help I think my computer is a spam bot zombie..

For a while my internet has been slow and randomly dropping connections and not loading webpages. Now I seem to be blocked from certain websites for "abuse" coming from my IP.

I googled around and these are symptoms of a spam bot on my network.

How would I go about defeating this?

do you have more than one computer on your network, but it sounds like you know which one is infected?

1) back up all data

2) start running through some diagnostics with anti-virus/spyware/malware software

3) find out what you got and then remove it, then make sure it is gone

4) run windows update (exploit could have used a known security loop hole)
