Not sure which forum this goes on. Trying to turn on my computer and initial monitor reads no signal input, then i get the black screen with all the startup choices if i try normal set up the screen flashes then no signal input on monitor then windows logo startup then no signal input and the power light goes off on the monitor. Can't boot from xp cd as i can't set my bios to read cdrom first, if i have my xp cd in nothing different happens. try starting in safe mode and nothing happens, if i bang on the keyboard i can get safemood to boot 1 out of 6 tries or so and then everything seems ok but if i go to restart i get check disk, finds no errors and the same abouve senario starts all over again.

ASUS AMD-Althon 64 bit, 80gb HD, 512 RAM radeon 9250, win xp sp2, norton 2005.
 
I'd Check all connection to start with: Sticky key on ketboard? All it takes is a little bit material to "lock a key on". Instead of banging on it,technically I would suggest turning it upside down and giving it a wack on the bottom.
Got another keyboard around???
