Help Install A Second Hdd! :p

Ok ive been to management under the computer icon, also cliked on disk management but my second hdd does not show up at all ive installed drivers that that controller card disk had in the box...
The hdd came by itself just like my first (seagate) second is a maxtor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822140168
Someone told me to get drivers for the mobo ... ????
What is needed here?

I guess your motherboard only has IDE and your purchased an SATA controller? Does the SATA controller show up in device manager? If so, have you entered the SATA controller's bios and setup the drive?

IDE only correct, and yes I purchased a raid card. The raid card does show up under device manager. Nope, how do you enter the sata bios?
 
ok i can see the hdd 189.mb it named it self letter (f)
but it said is not accesible parameters are incorrect
under drive managament it says formatting will this change?
is it formatting?
by the way wizard is doing this formating thing if it's happening ....i hope...
 
Ok it reformatted.. I am getting this message that says the trasport layer had an issue somehow this error could of not been shown ...
what is this al about...?
 
ok i am having a new problem...
ive already set the 2 drives now the computer is eporting a doble error it had to do with the transport layer, and not being able to bring back what was the error...
this is at the beggining when i power on the computer..
approximate like 10-15 minutes it freezes the computer and the image shatters, the cpu still running and make me hit the restart button
