Help installing PHotoshop on Vista

I have Photoshop CS2 installed on a disk, along with a keygen that generates serial numbers. I have never had a problem with installing it before, but it has always been to a windows XP computer. I just got a new one with Vista (yuch) and it's not working! The serial number it generated didn't go through and now it's not even allowing me to try any new ones. Help please???
I'm thinking maybe ought to try using a crack, but I would prefer a simpler, more legal method.
