Help Installing Power Supply

I'm struggling to refit a power supply I think used to be in a computer that someone else took out.

I've plugged the main 24 pin connector in and a connector to each of the drives, there is a 3rd plug on that lead but it won't reach the DVD although not bothered about using that as all I want to do is check the drives to see if there's anything I want on them before binning the machine.

In the photos the graphics card is removed as I took it out to see if that needed power and from teh attached pictures can't see anywhere to plug on ein so assume it takes power off of the board?

From videos I've watch I'm thinking it also needs a 4 pin connector but can't see where to plu it in.

I've attached various pics and a link to a video, if anyone can help really would appreciate it.

The 4 pin CPU plug on the motherboard is probably under the rear fan there. You need to plug that in as needed.

Brilliant and thank you for that, I removed the fan as couldn't see / get to and yes it's there ..... it's a 6 pin socket though and the plug from the power supply's a 4 pin, will that work do you know and if so does it need to be plugged into the left or right and 4 pins?

EDIT: I've just seen there's another 4 and 2 pin together with VGA writen on it, should I use that?

That GPU is itty bitty. The PCIE standard can power 75w through the slot, a lot of cards rated at 75w or less simply don't have external power.

I wouldn't plug the PCIE lead into the CPU slot unless you're very certain that the pinout is the same.

You can half populate the 8 pin CPU header with the four pin connector, they're literally just two four pin connectors together.

I had a brain fart earlier ... it's 8 pin not 6 pin .... there are 2 x 4 pin cpu plugs on the same lead from the power supply, should I plug them both into the cpu side by side?
