Help! iPad jailbroken software update failed!

I had an iPad 3, yep, jailbroken.
I jailbreak it because I wanted some tweaks and more Internet speed.
It ran smoothly till I found that iPad software update could not install on it, and I wanted to remove the jailbreak.
Followed the steps on guidemyjailbreak.com, and I only get a recovery mode on my iPad and tons of errors on my iTunes.
I removed the recovery mode with tinyumbrella.
Now, I want to update the software of the iPad.
Can someone tell me how?

How to restore? The error always come...
I tried 3 times and the same error came disturbing, even in dfu mode.
My iTunes was not the newest version, but the second new version.
Will this effect the progress of restoring?
Note: it sucked at 'preparing iPad for restore' for some minutes and lastly came the error 6***( sorry that I forgotten the code).
Can you give me some advices? Thanks!

Try updating iTunes.

You said you placed the iPad in DFU mode but you still had issues restoring it?

Wait! I have a question...
If I update my iTunes, will I loose my iPad software update that I have downloaded?
I have a slow connection.

No upgrading iTunes won't make any difference.

Pretty sure discussion on this topic contravenes the rules.

Jailbreaking has been pronounced legal since 2010. I made a thread on it:

http://www.computerforum.com/179911-new-regulations-make-jailbreaking-legal-3.html

And Mep stated the following on the third page:
We'll allow jailbreaking to be discussed. Keep in mind that any discussion of pirating third party apps or anything illegal is still disallowed. I'll take a closer look at DRM removal. We don't want to heavily restrict discussion here at CF, but at the same time we don't want to encourage or promote any use that would be considered illegal.

I've updated the rules to reflect the changes.

Yep, jailbreaking is legal in my country. I know that jailbreaking is illegal in UK, but that doesn't matter because I'm not there!
But the question comes...does iTunes know that the iPad is jailbroken?

No iTunes does not know the iPad is jailbroken.

Happy to go on what the admins say, but your link to the US ruling doesn't apply anywhere else and I believe this is an Australian based forum right?

In which case:

It's worth noting that the US decision was made in regard to copyright and fair use provisions. It doesn't mean that there aren't other laws that may make it illegal to jailbreak an iPhone. And it's still unclear if it's legal to unlock the iPhone in Australia.

Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA) chair Colin Jacobs (said) "...distributing information to jailbreak an iPhone would be illegal in Australia under laws that protect technological protection measures from being circumvented."

But im cool, whatever...

Its stuffed, nothing you can do with that error, trust me i had my ipod do it last month. Tried everything on the internet, took it to apple and they said it was knackered.

Haha, I have a solution, without iTunes and I succeeded!
This is how I do it...
1. Plug idevice to iTunes.
2. Hit restore.
3. See the download in progress? Unplug you idevice.
4. Get redsn0w.
5. Wait till the download to finish.
6. Open redsn0w and go to extras-->even more.
7. Hit restore.
8. Navigate to the folder that you download the ipsw. (The recovery file) it will be somewhere in the iTunes folder. Just use the windows search engine. Type *.ipsw and search.
9. See that file? Double click its icon but not the file name.
10. Then, you will see the warning message saying that you cannot come back to iOS 5. Ignore it. Press ok.
11. The restoration started!
12. If the restoration succeeded, get tinyumbrella.
13. Launch tinyumbrella. It needs java environment.
14. Just hit exit recovery in it. You will see you idevice reboot, and... That's it!
