help! just bought low end pc and need some advice!

here is my new pc upgraded from my previously low end p4 celeron pc.
fit for basic tasks only. the vendor said this setup could not run 3d games. that's ok.

NEC DVDRW 16x
Sony Floppy Drive

Basic PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse
Old Philips 17"" CRT
Windows Vista Premium Home Pre-order (arrival by 19 January 2007)

What other hardware could i upgrade in order to play latest games at 800x600?
Any more improvements can be made? I have $200 more to spend.

ok. can this basic pc play games in 800x600? i will play in low details. also, can it run vista home premium?
 
You don't have a basic PC, infact, It's very, very good!
You could play game on high setting with the resolution 1024 x 768!
Yeah, it can.
 
Doesn't look like low end to me.

Sounds like a nice setup you have going there except id change the monitor :P
