help, laptop help needed

i have a hp pavilion dv3 touchscreen laptop. it stopped working a couple of moths ago just before the warranty ran out, but i could not find the receipt so i sent it away to get fixed. they claimed that the motherboard had failed and that is what i thought might be the case. they sent it back saying the parts exceeded the price and they could not fix it. the needed parts they listed were
requested id::
CAB/LCD/FLEX/NB/OOW536450-001

BEZEL/LCD/FLEX/NB/FLEX-536448-001

MOBO/ASSY/FLEX/NB/OOW580651-001

I have no idea what all that means but i now have no idea what to do, either take the hard drive out and ditch the laptop, or is there anything else i could do??
if anyone can help all is greatly appriciated
 
It looks like you need a cable, bezel for the LCD panel, and a motherboard.

You could try looking for spare parts (conveniently, they gave you the part numbers) on eBay, or you could part out the laptop or sell the whole unit as-is on eBay.
