you might wanna consider vista to get full direct X10 support, you can use xp and you will get direct X9..

i went from xp pro to vista 64bit home premium OEM for £80...

if you decide to add more ram the xp 32bit operating systems only recognise 3.5gig max, 64bit operating systems recognise "alot" more

hi funkysnair
cant decide on xp or vista i still hear a lot of negative talk about vista even after all this time, price wise its about the same

IMO i would use whatever os you have for now:P Because windows 7 comes out in a few months;) But if you wanna go now... go with vista, SP1 fixed it right up.. all the negativity was because of the original non sp1 vista.

hi
just a general upgrade question here. any ideas where i can expand my build in the future inside and out. there is enough bays for more hard drives and I'm thinking of installing a blue ray player. but what about the inside. thanks

you could buy a better cpu another 2 sticks of ram more hard drive space

you cant go crossfire with that motherboard so if you want to upgrade your graphics you would have to buy a newer better model but the 4850 should do you fine for a while ;)
