I want use the Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad-core QX9300 2.53GHz Mobile Processor - 2.53GHz - 1066MHz FSB - 12MB L2 - RoHS Compliance
I want use Nvidia....What motherboard must I use?

That is a mobile CPU, you cannot just build a laptop out of readily available components as you can a desktop, there is no predetermined standard for laptop motherboards, or other components for that matter.

No I have not gotten the CPU yet . I plan to get the bare bones for an MX17 Alienware and to get a mother board that will suport the nvidia instead of the ATI. It has to be the Q9300 2.53

Are you saying that that CPU is not for laptops? If it is not then which Q9300 is the top most one for laptops?

By The Way, I am not a computer expert but I am interested in learning things about the one I intend to build. I started out with the idea that I should put together an Area 51 but I changed my mind, so as to have the lighted keyboard I decided on the Mx17

Did you already got the CPU?
It is the last gen. CPU...

That CPU is for a laptop, however you cannot just build a laptop...

Ok, in the comp world, the word build must mean something different and I most likely used it wrong. Maybe you don't understand what I am trying to do. What I am trying to do is pretty much buy predesignated ALIENWARE computer parts and put an ALIENWARE laptop together. Instead of a motherboard that has ATI, I am wondering if there is one that has Nvidia and uses the Q9300 and all fits in an MX17 case. ALIENWARE comps are built when they are built by the manufacturer new, so I am looking to see if I can get built. Know what I mean? I don' have a lot of time to set around on my slow comp and search out all the answers so i came to this forum hoping to find knowlege of the experienced kind. If you know about ALIENWARE parts and construction then maybe you can help me fit some together into a state of compatible reliance.

You're not understanding the point, even if you bought all the parts for an alienware computer, you are going to be stuck with whatever motherboard was available from alienware. Not sure why you would just buy parts though, as people charge exuberant rates for parts to repair broken ones on working machines. You'd probably be better off going with either a used notebook or something pre built from another company such as sager.

like bomb says, laptop configurations differ so much you cant just go out and get discrete parts and expect it to drop right in, chassis designs differ between machines quite a bit from machine to machine...its not like theres an ATX standard for laptops, their pretty much each a custom job.
