Help me build my computer please

Hi, I'm planning to build my computer but have a budget under 1000$ and i am planning to build somewhat of a gaming computer.

Here are the items i plan to get:

Thank you very much for the advice I will sure look into it and i was wondering thought if i switch to the q6600 what would be a good mobo? or is the mobo i have no alright? i accidentally put the wrong hd. thanks for telling me. and i was wondering what operating system would be the best to run on this build? a 64 bit xp pro or a vista 64 bit?
 
I personally would get AMD in this moment in time as core i5 out in sept, I don't think it is a good time to invest on intel LGA775...
