Help me buy a new laptop for games and college please

Ok, sooo I go to college in about a year, and I love playing computer games: LOTRO, WoW, Midieval 2, and BFME I need a comp that will play all of those games especially LOTRO. But I think I know which one I want I built an XPS on Dell for 1500 that seems very nice here are the specs:

My Components

Is this ok, is everything compatible etc...?

Also to convince my dad to let me get it early I need to know if there will be any big upgrades coming out over the next year or so that will dwarf somethin on this comp because that is his fear that it will be outdated by the time I go to college like will ram be upped to 5gm max or will 512mb graphics cards be available on laptops etc.... please help me with whatever you know.

WOW, those comps are better then the Dell and like $300 cheaper thx for the info man, that one for 1450 is twice as good as the dell and for almost the same price I think thats the one I'm gonna get, but I need to find out if it has a built in wireless card thx a bunch man : )

Another question, how long will this deal be available if you happen to know that, I will keep looking around the website

1. - Well dell is crap, and you can get better things for your many than a dell!
2. - They are at standards prices, sometimes newegg have specials and will say offers end at like 26/7 or something.
3. - Laptops off newegg are very good!
