Here is the deal. Having a problem with my video card . I can't boot up in normal mode unless I remove my video drivers. I tried to remove and reinstall both same and upgraded drivers with no luck. I was however unable to completely remove old drivers in both normal and safe mode. If anyone has any suggestions that woud be great but if not what is an acceptable video card for this machine (compatable up to $200.00). I have never replace any components on a machine before but from what I have read it is pretty simple. I am also having problems with my sound card so any suggestions there would also be appreciated.

Yeah I was assuming that he would like to go for nVidia as he has the GTX470. But yes I'd also recommend the 6870 :)

Thank you both for the advice I ended up pick up the 560 Ti. All back to normal. Now I just have to figure out why my sound doesn't work. I invested in Klipsch 2:1 speakers and Sound Blaster® Recon3D
PCIe but after install still no sound?

Still not working then? Maybe the card has a hardware malfunction, you could RMA or go to the store where you bought it and trade it in for a new one.

Go with the hd6870, great performance, cheaper and good for later! Amd is working on drivers, because nvidea got superior drivers.. they already updated recently, now the 6870 beats the 560ti in some threads. If you want to be sure for the future, then take the radeon. If you need more in a year, you can just upgrade to crossfire! The 560ti sli is slower then an 6870 crossfired.
