help me choose a motherboard

so im thinking between these 3 boards

with the gigabyte board, i would have to buy a new case, which will add to cost. as to the asrock and the asus, i can keep using the fractal case that i already have. but, more importantly, id like to get the one thats best for overclocking, and the more reliable/better built. im not sure what the power phase is on these boards, but im pretty sure the gigabyte has the best, and maybe the asrock and asus ar the same? it makes a difference in overclocking potential doesnt it? or are they all so clost to one another that it really wouldnt make a difference? if all 3 boards are a win, then just let me know. if not, please tell me which one is the better suited for me and why you think so.

to start out ill be running a i5 2320 @ 3Ghz, but in a couple months when i sell the cpu, i will be getting an i7 ivy bridge. i more than likley will not do sli, since i will be running a gtx 680, and i feel that that card should be fine by itself until i decide to upgrade in a couple years to whatever is new at the time.

any and all opinions are appreciated.

I would choose the gigabyte because of the ATX form factor. It will run cooler than the mATX.

To keep your current case, the ASrock would be better than the Asus.
 
thankyou. i was kind of thinking along those same lines. i just need to decide if its worth the money to invest in a new case, if i choose the gigabyte board.
 
87, i would go for a standard atx, but like i explained up top, i have a micro atx case, and id likek to not have to buy another case if i dont have to. however, ive dicided that im just going to go with this...

i dont want the extreme 4 by asrock, since it has only a 8+4 power phase, as to the fatality board by asrock has a 16+8, and the gigabyte i believe has a 12+6 power phase. i dont want my board to be the limiting factor in my overclock. id rather have my chip be the limiting factor.
thanks for the advice though, but based on these 2 boards, which would you choose?
 
Dude 8 phase is not a limiting factor unless you plan to extreme overclock as in subzero cooling 6ghz.

For air cooling daily stable overclock, there will be ZERO difference in overclock in an 8 phase VS 24 phase.

And again, don't let the 4+2 phase scare you. On my Z68 board, which is 4 phase, I've overclocked on it with several different CPU's and it performed better than some high end $200+ boards I've had.

87, ive changed my mind for the last time, and have decided to go with the micro atx version of the fatality board by asrock, and just continue to use the fractel design case i have. this board i freel supports everything that im looking for, with a descent price of $180 after shipping....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157300

i plan on getting some sort of i7 with it, and im not sure on the cooler yet, along with some 2133 mushkin ram (2x4gig) for $70....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226245

and run it with a gtx 6 series(not sure which ones will be out by the time im ready to buy). thanks for the help guys. i appreciate it
 
Well, IMO you are throwing $40 down the crapper....you will notice no difference at all between that and the extreme4-m.
 
87, i wouldnt say im throwing $40 down the drain. the fatality board just suites me better, plus i feel that on the fatality boards compared to the extrme4, its a little better built, with a better cooling set up, and a better power phase. maybe i need more opinions when it comes to power phases and the cooling comparison between the 2 boards in order to make up my mind deffinatly.
