It's not a bad processor by any means. The Q6600 will go down in history as one of the best and well known of all time. It is the entry level quad. Great overclocker if it has G0 stepping. A true classic, it will do everything you ask of it.

Hey i have a new choice now could you tell me wich processor would be better... :)
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8400 (3.00GHz, 1333MHz FSB, 6MB)
Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6600 (2.40GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 8MB)....

Quad. A duo has 2 cores. Quad is 4. And soon most apps will take advantage

As others have said, option 1 is far more powerful. Now depending on what you do with your computer, a E8400 is probably a better choice. The Q6600 isn't the newest CPU, but its a very good one, so is the E8400.

So here is what i am getting in the end....
Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6600 (2.40GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 8MB)
4096MB DDR2
500GB SATA hard drive (7200rpm)
512MB ATI Radeon HD4850 PCI-E TV-out DVI
