Help me choose please lel

Okay, so I am in desperate need of an upgrade. For those who remember my setup I have an old school Sapphire Radeon HD3870. A good card and still has some bite for a 4+ year old thing.

I'm looking at an all time favorite: HD5870 (Link to buy: http://tweakers.net/aanbod/484219/asus-eah5870-2dis-1gd5-v2.html )
Now, I know this is also an old card but its still amazing, as spirit here has one (you still do don't you? ;p ) and I've fanboyed this card for ages now.

But also been looking at the GTX460. Now compared to the HD5870 it looks like my 3870 lol, but it has some charm to it. Not sure what it is, but yeah maybe you know what I mean.

I don't have a huge budget, and I am not really intrested in any other card. So no GTX560(ti)'s or 6870's or anything. Just the 2 specific cards I'm looking at.

I don't want like huge detailed answers of why I should choose the one over the other. Just an opinion. Thanks guys :)
 
Michael, let's not even get started on the "OMG 5870 IS AWESOME!!!!!!! :D" craze we had going on when I was about to buy my 5870. Of course I still own it. We're the biggest 5870 fanboys ever. :D

OK I can tell you as an HD 5870 owner it still performs very well even at 1080p, it's a good buy if you can get one cheap (like I did). I'd definitely get one over a GTX 460, and in fact I did. :)
 
Yeah I've decided to let my HD5870 Fanbyism overtake my GTX460/GTX470 fanboyism :P
Also the seller lives about 30miles from me so I might go pick it up this weekend. Train to Arnhem FTW!!!11eleven!!! lol
