Help me decide

How about Asus Transformer Pad TF300T ?

I personally opt out of nexus 10 as it is not particularly cheap and doesn't has micro sd.
But it does has better screen resolution and 2GB RAM, and probably get the fastest update from google.

Samsung note 10.1 looks good, but is it worth extra $180 over other $300 tablet? It seems to me the selling point is S-pen, do you need that?

Get an ASUS Transformer or a Nexus 10. Up to you. The ASUS has a MicroSD slot.

From experience always go for a Nexus and/or a Asus since they both run stock android. Asus is good at getting latest android updates a month or two after it is released.

Nexus releases latest Android within the first month. Personally SD cards should be important decision for you unless you use cloud service like google drive or dropbox then I would really worry to much.

I am a die hard windows and laptop person. I just ordered this one for my self for $599. I just think a laptop hibrid is better than a plain tablet.

Wouldn't this be based on use? Example being if I was to buy a tablet tomorrow the only thing that would get used for it is reading my online text books which Android has a app for that and Windows does not.

It would go based off what the needs are, notice the relatively large price difference as well. I wouldn't even look at a Windows Tablet hybrid or not until Windows blue comes out anyway.

If I wanted a windows tablet I would just use my PC or laptop. So no, I don't want a windows tablet, I want strictly full android and 10" screen. I was just hoping that someone had the nexus 10 or a samsung that can give me reviews on both.

Sorry John but I have only owned a Asus TF300, what I could maybe bring up as a point since I do have a S3 is that with the Samsung note it runs touch wiz on top of android giving it more feature but being a little harder on resources plus when a new android comes out you have to wait on Samsung to build a version for touch wiz which in my experience could take months. being that it is so costly for them to do this once your tablet gets replaced by a newer version say good bye to getting updates and if you do it could be six months to a year later. Nexus products will get updated even as a older generation and since it is stock android it is a little better on resources there fore a better user experience. Don't now if that would help you out.
