Help understanding speeds between two similar cards

Yesterday I bought an MSI GTX 570, with the specs:
Core Clock: 732MHz
Shader Clock: 1464MHz
Effective Memory Clock: 3800MHz

Today I found there will be a deal for a ZOTAC GTX 570, with the specs:
Core Clock: 780MHz
Shader Clock: 1560MHz
Effective Memory Clock: 4000MHz

The price differences are minimal, so it's really down to these numbers here.

The ZOTAC is an OC version of a card while the MSI is not OC'd.

How big/small of a performance difference would there be between the two cards? Minimal? I'd like to compare the exact two cards but can't find any reviews that have specifically those two.

Also, is it safe to overclock a stock card?

Just kinda sucks I stumbled across this deal just one day after I bought the MSI. Trying to clear my mind. Thanks!

No more than 1-3FPS difference in most cases. Minimal, to the point where it's not really noticeable.

and really almost all overclocked cards are the same as the one you'll get, just they up the clocks in the factory, while the card ships with software that will let you get higher numbers than those most likely, but if you do that you will have to check it for artifacts, but the fps you'll get with the 570 won't need those extra few frames, so there is no point
 
as far as my experience goes with factory overclocked cards go...is not to bother with it, if you feel the need to, you can do it with msi afterburner. also with a 9500GT OC i got from gigabyte (i know its weak) the bugger failed after 2 years, and i had a bear of a time getting the rma processed properly...

(im highly suggesting anyone who wants a gigabyte GPU to consider this...i had to send the card back two subsequent times to solve my issue...and buy an ASUS GT430 for said client to fix the issue...it cost me over 90 bucks of time and money to fix her problem, and im not sure its fixed.)

Also not entirely true. OCd cards come with a warranty for the OC because they're usually higher quality (binned) wafers thus will usually clock higher and be more stable than standard GPUs. Whether they're worth the money is another question..
 
lol, theres not that big a difference in performance...and even so you can always overclock your card, its no big deal.
