I currently have a
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @3.00GHz
4.00 Gb ram DDR2
64 bit
with integrated graphics
power supply stock max 255w

i want to know if i can put a
PNY - NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card
without killing the pc

Well EVGA says.
300W or greater power supply with a minimum of 16 Amp on the +12 volt rail for a GT 710.

Bet your PSU is a 255W generic power supply too. I would not run any stand alone card with it.

What motherboard do you have? In order to add any dedicated video card to your system, you would also have to upgrade power supply to at least corsair or evga 430 watts. You don't need 430 watts but thats the lowest I would ever recommend for any system running an entry level video card such as the 710.

These are sold by a third party. Besides the corsair cx430 he could get this one.

I also deleted the duplicate thread you posted about this.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @3.00GHz
4.00 Gb ram DDR2
64 bit
Intel motherboard thats in a otiplex 760
with integrated graphics
power supply stock max 255w

Will be upgrading the power supply to a 400w or a 500w
Also will be upgrading the ram to 8gb DDR2

I was thinking on getting this graphics card but was wondering if anyone knew of better cards for around the same price range and that my pc can use.
