How about a Welcome to the Computer Forum first! http://www.computerforum.com/70672-official-welcome-thread.html and just the reminder to new members to review the forum rules seen at http://www.computerforum.com/off-topic-chat/announcements.html

For selecting a make and model supply will also depend on where you are buying from. For an excellent guideline on supplies for various types of builds review the sticky for this. http://www.computerforum.com/90118-useful-psu-guides.html

For mamory there are some real good brands seeing deals on value ram not performance memory with Corsair, Kingston, OCZ being a premium brand, Crucial, and a few others to choose from according to what prices you find at the place you will buy from.

For the cpu cooler the Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is the choice over a Zalman model to save on the higher price seen on the favored models. A few vendors like coolerguys.com. xoxide.com, and newegg.com are the price savers with two sites carrying other accessories for variety of different types of cases including gaming and custom styles.

xoxide.com has the actual largest selection of different types and styles of cases while you can sometimes save going to other sites like newegg. http://www.xoxide.com/pccases.html For a favored gaming case now seeing sale prices otherwise seen for upto $140 now onsale for around $80-$93 the Antec Nine Hundred is an excellent case for air flow with it's own unique style found at http://www.techonweb.com/products/productdetail.aspx?id=D03493&src=NT

The FRYs retail chain also offers a $10 reduction with a mail in rebate offer seen at http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4991611?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG You first have to pay out their price and submit the rebate by mail there.

The actual amount you have in the budget there would be the biggest help at pointing out hardwares. Good supplies 500w or more generally run over $70 to see a reliable and adequate model for the type of build you have planned. Most preder steel case over the aluminum models. Making sure the one you select has good air flow is the first thought for this.

Unless you CPU was OEM, then the stock cooler is fine.

Besides the $130 seen for the Corsair HX520 which is an excellent supply OCZ sees a 700w model for a little more at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341002 But the total cash available for the new build and how much allowed for spending on a supply has to figured into it. An Antec Earthwatts energy efficient 500w supply is seen for about $100 on average. Others run just over $70 to $100.

The Antec Nine Hundred can be found for under $100 at the present moment by shopping around for sales and manufacturer's rebates. FRYs has the 900 listed for $107.99 with a $35 rebate there. Another vendor has it for $91.36 without any rebate. That model was grabbed on a 4th of July sale at FRYs for $89,99 seen then. While a great case it's still a higher priced model to consider for a budget build.

That case is very much like the AeroCool model here seeing two vents with the option of mounting a fan on each. Place one fan on the top vent there and face it outward for extra exhaust rather then intake and watch temps go down a little. Facing a fan outward will help pull warm air away from that area of the board.
