help me fix this problem!

okay, I recently bought this system and I know its pretty old from what you guys have but here is what I have:

AMD athlon xp 1800+
Asus A7N8X Motherboard
512mb memory card
2 80gb maxtor HDD (raid)
350w PSU
sound blaster card
video card is something cheap

My problem is it wouldn't get passed the windows XP setup... it would load up but after you press F8 to agree with the terms, it doesnt respond after that. I just couldnt figure out why it stops the installation process...

anything I can do about it? any help would be appreciated!!! thanks!!

are you using a floppy with the raid drivers on during the windows install

yes, a tech from compusa gave me a copy of the files needed to install raid. But I tried to install the OS without raid and still no go. so i'm really stuck...

You have a sata drive? You will need the drivers for sure... when it says press f6 to load sata/raid drivers insert that disk. Walla!

i'm not installing raid because i used my other HD to mod my xbox
