Help me! Forgot my BIOS password.

I forgot my BIOS password and unable to go into it.
How can i get into the bios again? of how can i retrieve my password.

You have two threads one about resetting an admin password and the other about resetting the BIOS password. Do you always forget all your passwords?

You need to reset the BIOS by shorting the CMOS jumper which is on the motherboard. If this is not your machine I will suggest you just leave it alone.

BIOS - Just remove the battery.

If i remove the battery and place it again, what i loose is just the password and time settings, or anything else?

only the password, i think.
maybe the BIOS configuration, but that should auto-detect.

If you remove the battery or reset via the jumper, then it will erase everything in the BIOS and set everything back to defaults.

Password, and any other things you've done in the BIOS (like overclocking, ect)
