Help me get a comp for $3400!

Hi, I have been messing around (obsessing) with SEVERAL different builds from cyberpowerpc and ibuypower for the past 2 months and just can't come up with a decision, so maybe one or many of you can help me decide on a build. From what it looks like, I can very easily build a much better/powerful machine for much cheaper through cyberpower. Maybe someone here on CF can prove me wrong.

This computer will be mainly used for gaming and HD video rendering when I actually find the time to /logout, lol.

Here is what I'm looking for:

a) CoolerMaster HAFX or 932 (I like the look of it, k?)
b) Fancy lights inside
c) Intel 980x (100% need this, will not even consider AMD)
d) Nvidia based graphix cards (ATI doesn't let me take advtange of my 3D TV and monitor), prefer SLI already set up as I am not too confident I'll be able to do it myself
e) Do I want SSD? Is Raid 0 better/faster (remember this machine is primarily for gaming)
f) Atleast 1tb secondary drive (SATA III)
g) Blu-ray WRITER
h) If overclocking is necessary, include this in build as I will not have the time or patience to figure it out myself, lol.
i) Motherboard with SATA III and USB 3.0
j) I prefer the idea of having liquid cooling.
k) There is a thermal display NXT Sentry or something like that (its the most expensive huge one) that I find 100% necessary because it looks neat. Please add that.

I want to spend now more than $3500 on this machine. Please do not include a monitor/speakers/keyboard / mouse. I have all the accessory/peripherals for it.

Get the NXT sentry if you want
Overclocking is easy with most Motherboards, it doesn't take much skill at all

Hi, you mentioned stick with reputable PSU.

Is thermaltake good? There is a PSU I was thinking of getting by Thermaltake....I was told to find one with 80% efficiency rating or something....the one I'm looking at is rated at 85%, I assume thats better.

Also, do you know anything about the
Gigabyte GA-X58a-UD7 motherboard? I heard this is also a good choice, and it will save me some $$.

Are you building this computer yourself or are you buying from cyberpowerpc.com? I would suggest building one yourself. You can save alot of money and it is not that hard.

You can build a pretty kick ass system for alot less than $3500. I am guessing around 2500 or maybe even less.

Why do you need the Intel 980x? I would suggest the 920 or 930 and overclock it. You should get the SSD for the OS drive and a regular drive for data and storage.

For the PSU, I would recommend Corsair.
 
i agree with memory, if you have the time/mind to build, do it! It'll save money and get you better parts at the same time. :)
 
I really don't understand why people say "oh just build your own its cheaper"

a) Even with an employee discount in best buy, it still will be about $500 more expensive to get exactly what I need

b) Not only would I save $500, but I would also be sure that my computer has been professionally assembled. I don't know how and really probably don't have the time or patience to put one together myself, lol.

c) 980x? because its the fastest processor out there. I have the money to spend for it, its MUCH better than 920 (especially bcause I plan to have it OC anyway). HD video editing requires crazy processing power.

Please though, I'll list the parts that I'd idealy like to get for no more than $3500, can one of you please refer me to a website that will beat out Best Buy's employee discount? Just for kicks I suppose (please don't say amazon, ebay, newegg, tomshardware, tigerdirect because I've looked through ALL of them)

But seriously, if you can find these parts for less than $3867 (yes thats the exact price of all these parts with an employee discount from best buy, combined with a couple parts from newegg.com that best buy doesnt sell)
