HELP ME!My ASUS DVD-ROM didn't read any CDs or DVDs

Hello!

I bought a ASUS E616P3 DVD-ROM 7 days ago.It worked well inchoate,but recently it didn't work,when I insert CDs or DVDs.But the system can recognize the DVD-ROM.Sometimes when I start the computer,it can read CDs and DVDs,but after use 2 or 3 times,it didn't read again.How to solve this problem?I'm very anxious!

Try Auto Play .. or its a fauilty Drive you got and the lasser has gone or even moved..

Now when I play DVD movie,the system will shut down.Howcan I solve these problems?

Hmmm

Try removing the driver by removing the device from the device manager. Then reboot and let it recognize it again. Did you by any chance flash the firmware? It seems to me to be some hardware issue though because when it shuts down without any warning, it is unlikely to be Windows causing it (the shutdown).

What kind of DVD related software are you running? I use Any DVD and it does that sometimes
