Help me! My computer restart automatically???

When I was using my computer, it restarted suddenly.

umm..Its prolly your power supply, its normal if u have a sucky PSU, go read the PSU101 and if it is your psu u mite wanna go get another...
did it freeze then shut off , or just shut off? and what were you doing when it shutoff?

Might want to take a gander at Questions 101. You gave no info at all beyond that your computer randomly restarted.

Don't most boards emit an ungodly, shrill, high-pitched shriek before shutting down due to temperatures? I've worked with a couple of boards that overheated, and they always yelled at me before shutting down.

not all boards. mine does it without warning, although u have to set the temp. i have a gigabyte program that yells at me.


overheating would of been my first guess, but as stated read Questions 101 then post back with more details

3 possible problems:
1. Power Supply Faulty. Thus change it.
2. "Haunted" by Spyware. Run Spyware Doctor and search for viurs or spyware. Spware Doctor is free. Download from download.com.
3. OS problem.- Need to install your OS.

If all fails, format your hard disk.- Worst case scenario.

I had the same problems before. I did not change the power supply first. I re-installed the OS and everything was ok after that. Phew.
