Help me pease, computer won;t boot

This morning i put my computer together and it all works (hdd's run, cd spins, and i can boot from a live linux cd) and i have installed windows, at least supposed to have done BUT once it has formatted hdd, copied files etc. when it comes to reboot it will not load from the HDD, and just repeats the process of loading the windows installation, the HDD is serial ATA and i am wondering if that is causing the problem.
Also if i reboot after windows install without the cd in it just does nothing, the specs are in my sig, can someone please help me asap, i will be soo grateful, thanks loads

edit: I have tried to install XP PRO and XP 64bit, don;t know if that info will be useful

Sounds like boot loop, After the first reboot it should be booting to the harddrive and using the cd to finish the install, on the first reboot go into bios and change your boot order to your harddrive instead of cd

Actually it was something to do with the SATA, instead of the HDD been set as a Array Drive, it was a Free Drive or something along those lines, i found a manual for it on the net, now why don;t manufacturers send these things with the motherboard as standard

Hmm maybe but to boot off the windowscd you'll have to "press anykey" (unelss the drive doesnt have a bootable partitioN)

Isnt it? Its pretty stardnard for mobo manuals to have a RAID section near where they talk about BIOS settings
